Does this VoIP unlock setup work ?
As of Jan 2011 - Yes it does work!! Both INCOMING and OUTGOING works well. The ability to replace a home base line as many have and are doing. !!! $50.00/YEAR phone bill, Long distance call at pennies.  FACT your current telco bill will be reduced by 80%.

FIRMWARE

The Vonage subscribed service box comes with a version 1.00.09 firmware "Locked down", using tools like (eg. cyt46_ ) to permanently crack and unlock to load new|other version of the firmware to use the box with an of the 1000-10000 VoIP providers.

* where can i the firmware VTA-1.00.08-NA2a.bin and how to load the firmware to the VTA-CV ?

* How can we load XML file to the box ? since i think VTA-CV get it from Vanage ? that is why we have to change the "Provisioning Profile Base URL" to our computer IP.

* how can we get an original XML file from Vonage ?

Provision
is when a Provider (eg.Vonage) subscribed service box calls home.  The box runs a script and contact for firmware update an exchange of information in the background.

TIME ZONE - UNLOCK Vonage DLINK VTA-VR or VTA-VC
Q.)   The firmware is set by default to sync the time from pool.ntp.org and the time zone is set to the Eastern.
I can try to add a setting to change the timezone, but no guarantee that I will be able to.
Otherwise, the timezone and NTP server can be set through provisioning.
A.)   The ntp server is set to pool.ntp.org, but the timezone settings don't seem to work. The time is always set according to GMT.
I tried to add a couple fields to set the NTP and timezone but they don't seem to work.
A.)  I am sure it is not timezone problem, since the time is not off by hours, it is off by years.
I tried setting the timezone and NTP server through provisioning. It did not work. I can see my other setting works with provision.

- the newest firmwares for all the CYT based devices, prevent saving the SIP username and password through the web interface. This fixed that too.

PROVISIONING
Make sure at first your UNIT "ATA" is disconnected from the internet.  The ATA Must be disconnected from the INTERNET or every time you unlock it, seconds after unlock it will RE-DOWNLOAD the lock "Provisioning"  

Only accessible after unlocked;

Provisioning Profile Base URL:  127.0.0.1
